This home was built to minimize allergens without carpeting and other dust catching features.
The radiant slab (in floor) heat provides gentle, even heat preventing the need for blowing dry air in the winter. In fact, the owners only turned on the furnace once, to test it, and kept the house at a steady 70°F.
Summer electric bills averaged $100/month due to the solar power assist and energy efficiency of the house. Summer temperature was kept at 75°F average.
